A Racket at Barbara's

A Racket in the Burbs, according to a trusted source, will be available at Barbara's Bookstores at O'Hare International Airport. It's quite surreal for me as I once was a booksetter there, recommending stories to everyone from frustrated travellers who've been delayed, to bestselling authors on tour, to missionaries, to grandpatentss shopping for their grandkids.

Of course, any sort of retail sales position presents irritating individuals that can test the most optimistic of dispositions. Since I usually strike a healthy balance with my pessimistic side, I'll just categorize such individuals as catalysts for learning opportunities and good stories.

Speaking of positve catalysts, the Chicago Public Library may consider stocking the book pictured below sometime in October. I look forward to making it available to Chicago patrons.
