Thus says the Midwest Book Review's take on North Side Hellion.

In my latest novel, Aiden McCarthy is an Irish American young man straddling criminal elements, impending adulthood, and duty to his family during Prohibition Chicago. His story intertwines with Dean O'Banion and a young Alphonse Capone as Aiden finds love and matches wits with various misfits from the shops and homes of Wicker Park to the alleys of the Chicago Loop to the tenements of Little Italy.

"North Side Hellion is a roller-coaster ride of a historical adventure. An impressively well crafted and riveting read from beginning to end, North Side Hellion is a novel of vice, loyalty, and passion in the era of the Roaring Twenties and showcases North Side Hellion author Ben Broeren's exceptional and genuine flair for creating the kind of story that will linger in the mind and memory of the reader long after the book itself is finished and set back upon the shelf. While very highly recommended for community library General Fiction collections, it should be noted for personal reading lists that North Side Hellion is also available in a Kindle format ($9.99)."

I thank editor-in-chief, James A Cox, and all the folks at Midwest Book Review for the kind words.

If you haven't gotten the chance to get your own copy of North Side Hellion, please find it at your local independent bookstore through Indie Bound, at Barnes and Noble, or at Amazon. It is also now available for public library enthusiasts with a Chicago library card or Metropolitan card.

I'll be pushing to get North Side Hellion in libraries around the Midwest. I welcome anyone interested in having a copy in their library to let me know!

I also encourage readers to leave me reviews on Amazon or on my Goodreads page.

Thanks to my readers and book-lovers everywhere! Stay well-read!
