Chicago Prohibition Thrills in the Stacks

As the world gets hotter and debauched dictators grab their fiddles, why not patronize your local library? You might find my latest historical novel and escape to when political corruption, crime, and revolution were sexy.

North Side Hellion, examines Chicago Prohibitions's tango between the sacred and the profane through the eyes of young man and Irish-American character, Aiden McCarthy. From Wicker Park to Little Italy, he encounters real-life gangsters Dean O'Banion, John Torrio, and a young Alphonse Capone, deciding which storied personalities he will work with, compete with, or respectfully loathe. He also falls in love and befriends fellow misfits while staying as true as he can to his family.

Chicago Public Library has two copies on loan here, although you may have to wait awhile as it seems to be popular.

Neenah Public Library, located in my hometown, also has a copy here on loan to anyone living in Wisconsin's surrounding area in the Fox Valley.

I've also asked about adding North Side Hellion to the collection at Wisconsin public libraries in Milwaukee, Madison, and Delavan, Oak Park Library in Illinois, and Indianola Public Library in Iowa. That last suggestion came from a friendly passerby while I was visiting family on a beach in Florida.
