What's on Tap?

So far, readers seem to enjoy A Racket in the Burbs, my first crime thriller. One of the big questions I hear is, "When is the sequel?" To my wonderful readers, that's more pleasing to my ears than the sizzling of bacon or the clank of ice in a freshly mixed bourbon Old Fashioned.

I can only respond that a sequel is just starting in the works, and it will likely be well over a year before it's published.

Until then, here's more about my other projects.

I am also editing the first in a separate series I've drafted that fictionalizes a young bootlegger in Prohibition Chicago. This project has been in the works for five years and I am hoping to get it out toward the end of 2016. My passion with this story has been to blend the zeitgeist of Prohibition with snippets of my own family history.

I've chosen to break the Prohibition manuscript into two after looking at the total 86,000 words or so and realizing the pacing and amount of history would fit better into two books.

It makes sense as an author to work on three or more books at a time. If one project gets frustrating, I can move to the other.
