Hair-raising Happenings at the Library

Sulzer Regional Library Assistant Director Brent Lipinski gave a welcome review of A Racket in the Burbs for the Illinois Author's Project. It reads below:

"A Racket in the Burbs is the new novel by Ben Broeren. It's a fast-paced crime story set in the fictional town of Woolrich, IL. The untimely death of the town's sleazy mayor sets in motion a hard-boiled plot in the vein of Dashiell Hammett. A fun, action-packed read. 10/10."

A paperback copy is now available, compliments of the Chicago Public Library, for patrons to check out here. I'm thrilled to have a A Racket in the Burbs at the Sulzer Regional Library, located in the charming Lincoln Square neighborhood.

Many thanks to Brent. I'm flattered and honored to be part of any comparison to Dashiell Hammett, author of the Maltese Falcon and all-around master of hard-boiled fiction.

Brent Lipinski's twitter account can be found here.

For thriller and mystery lovers who crave their own copy of A Racket in the Burbs, they can also purchase it at Amazon, Barbara's Bookstore, and Barnes & Noble.

As always, thanks to my readers. Stay warm and well-read!
