Emerging Whole and Happy, Despite Everything That's Wrong with the World

Friends, family, readers, fans. Once January and February roll around, most people feel the weight of the weather, the world, or their waistlines after Christmas/Chanukah/the Holidays. And that isn't even when candidates from our nation's bipartisan system are insulting our intelligence during a presidential election year.

Fortunately for my readers and other lovelies, I have plans in the works in early March for my first novel, A Racket in the Burbs, including a new distributor for quicker delivery of a "riveting read" to warm up the remaining nights of winter. Also, I promise price promotions for readers who like their thrills on a tighter budget.

In other good news, I'm loving the experience of being a new father and taking care of my family and the new human I helped create.

I'm also getting closer to publishing my second book, which was actually my first novel-length historical fiction tale of Prohibition Chicago. I've started another story since I wanted to take a break from a sequel to A Racket in the Burbs and a sequel to my second planned story for publishing.

But where can I find Ben Broeren's well-reviewed thriller, A Racket in the Burbs?

For those wbo chance upon this page looking for a thriller with "a hard-boiled plot in the vein of Dashiell Hammet," please check out, A Racket in the Burbs, on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Barbara's books. Thriller-lovers may also find a paperback version of A Racket in the Burbs at my store on the web here.
